I Nidi di Cortona
The country house “I Nidi di Cortona” is surrounded by the country, placed in the little rural village of San Marco in Villa (sec. XIV) at the bottom of the hill of Cortona which is a beautiful Etruscan village sited in the south of Tuscany.
The guests can fully relish the quiet of the country life and can easily reach historical and artistical centers of Central Italy thanks to its strategic position. It is perfect starting point to make a trip by walk, by bicycle or by horse following the numerous paths that go across the country and the hill.
The house is surrounded by a green and wide garden provided with benches, deckchairs, swing, hammock and exterior lighting. Different species of birds nest amid firs, cypresses and forest trees and their twittering enlivens the surrounding quiet.
The villa is provided by a large swimming pool (12 x 6 m) equipped with hydromassage jet and upstream swimming. Private car park. Bicycles to go for a ride and a pond for sports fishing. Nearness you can find riding track, sports facilities, tennis court and car rental with the opportunity to have guided tour.
The beautiful sight of the hill of Cortona, the peaceful park and the quiet country of the Val di Chiana will allow you to enjoy the harmony of your holyday “nest”. The nest is, for us, symbol of comfortable house, quiet and sweet familiarity of loves.

Services
The house includes 5 apartments finished with care and well-equipped. The apartments, from two to six beds, are furnished with antique or old stile furniture (kitchen and living room made of solid wood, wrought iron beds) and are provided with every comfort (TV, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave oven, barbecue, drinking spring-water from tap, autonomous heating, etc…). Each apartment is provided by a set of necessary products (tea, coffee, seasonings, sugar and salt, detergents, etc…), sheets and towels. A cradle for a baby can be provided if requested at the moment of booking
Different types of apartments are available: – Apartment composed by double bed room, living room with kitchen area and bathroom; – Apartment composed by two double bed rooms, living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
Two apartments have a spacious terrace that is provided with table, chairs and deckchairs to have dinner at open air or to spend relaxant hours being glad of the environmental harmony, of the suggestive sight of the hill of Cortona and of the Val di Chiana.

By car:
Travelling in the highway “autostrada del Sole” (A1) leave it at the tollbooth “Valdichiana”. At the stop turn to the right and follow the sign to Cortona, after a while take the freeway SS 75bis (Siena-Perugia) in direction of Perugia. Leave the freeway at the second exit for Cortona (Cortona-San Lorenzo). At the stop turn to the right and, following the sign to Cortona, go on for 5,7 km until you arrive at the village of Camucia. Go through the underpass and on through the first roundabout, turn off towards Perugia and at the next roundabout take the exit for Cortona. About 1/5 mile further on at the first traffic light take a left. Go on for 600 m and at the first stop turn to the right following the sign to San Marco in Villa. After 900 m you will find the country house “I Nidi di Cortona” on your right.
By train:
Railway line Firenze-Roma: Terontola or Camucia station.
Railway line Perugia-Assisi-Terni: Terontola station.
