In the heart of Valdichiana, Tuscany, the Holiday Farm Il Mandorlo stands out against the relief which rises alongside the small built-up area of Fratticciola, just a few kilometres far from the renowned town of Cortona.
From its favourable location one can enjoy a gorgeous view on the sweet surrounding hills, typical of the Tuscan countryside, dominated by the green of the vineyards and century-old trees, by the yellow of sunflowers in summertime and the intense shades of the earth throughout the different seasons of the year.
The ancient rural house, whose core dates back to the 17th century, has recently been restored preserving its original shape and materials.
The building rises isolated and immersed in the peace and stillness of the fields, but just a few minutes’ drive from the main communication road. Besides, it enjoys light from sunrise until sunset, along with the slight and constant hill wind.
Inside, it is split into five flats, provided with all comfort, while outside the wide swimming-pool (14.5 x 7 m) arranged in a panoramic position and a charming view also on the hill of Cortona can offer fun and moments of deep relation. A regulation-size seven-a-side football ground is also at the disposal of our guests, so that they play sports activities, besides the relaxing and bracing walks you can go for on foot or cycle rides you can have along the nearby paths.
During their stay at the Holiday farm Il Mandorlo, our guests can also use the outdoor oven as well as the barbecue, besides enjoying the fruit in season from the family vegetable garden and take part in the farm life.
