Coming from Rome, on the motorway, come out at the tollbooth of VALDICHIANA, go straight all the way to the outskirts of SIENA, you shall find the resort DUE PONTI; continue straight ahead (in the arts and crafts area on Toselli road to SIENA –PORTA OVILE / FLORENCE ; you shall come across some roundabouts; go past all of them and continue straight until you find the one with the writing to MONTEVARCHI-GAIOLE IN CHIANTI-PONTIGNANO-Strada Statale
(trunk road) 408;

· Coming from the north, on the motorway, come out at the tollbooth FLORENCE – CERTOSA, continue on the right on the four-lane road to “SIENA”, after about half an hour, you shall find the exit “SIENA NORD”; once you come out, you must turn on the right and continue towards “CENTRO” (town centre) and then follow all the green motorway signs “ROMA A1” (not the blue ones!!!!). Turn left after the second traffic light, go down a descent, continue straight, at the second roundabout, stay to the right and go under Siena’s station “tunnel”, come out of it and at the following roundabouts follow all the signs “ROMA A1” (the green, and not the blue ones), until you find the sign to MONTEVARCHI/GAIOLE IN CHIANTI–PONTIGNANO-Strada Statale (trunk road) 408;

Once you enter the Trunk Road (Ss) 408, you are half away from your destination; drive for another 7 Km, (indicated on the blue sign on the right side of the road). Just before the PIZZERIA – RESTAURANT ‘I TRE MOSCHETTIERI’ in SAN GIOVANNI A CERRETO, you must turn LEFT in “Via del campo” towards PIEVASCIATA/ VAGLIAGLI; once you go past the small cemetery, which is situated on the left, you will be on the Strada (road) di Catignano: continue straight for 700 metres, going slowly, until you see on the right the entrance to our farmhouse with a wooden fence and a rustic sign: “ AGRITURISMO “ - “ SAN MARCELLO “; after about 400 metres of a nice dirt road, you get to the country house, with a 4 arches loggia: ring the bell to our “RECEPTION“ in front of you!
