Piombaia
In Montalcino, in the heart of Val D' Orcia, inside a 200 hectares farm, you shall find the farm holiday centre Piombaia, amongst the delicate profiles of the typical Tuscan hills, amongst the tour itineraries of Saint Antimo Abbey, historical and town tours of Montalcino, nature tours of Mountain Amiata and thermal tours of Bagno Vignoni.
It consists of seven independent apartments fitted with bathrooms and everything a visitor might need: kitchenette (with hotplates, sink, microwave oven, fridge, tools and accessories), TV-SAT, telephone, independent heating and linen.
Services
Guests may also enjoy the following: a common swimming-pool with deckchairs, sunbeds and beach umbrellas, a recreation ground, a garden with a gazebo, a Jacuzzi, a traditional barbecue and a rustic wood-burning oven, as well as a reserved car park for cars; there are also excursion routes for walks or bicycle rides (which can be hired). It is also possible to taste the farm’s products and the typical local dishes. Products (Brunello di Montalcino, table wine, extra-virgin olive oil, Brunello grappa, fruit balsamic vinegars) can also be purchased directly at a price reserved to guests.

How to get to Montalcino:
Arriving from Rome on motorway A1, you need to come out at Chiusi – Chianciano Terme and to follow the signs to Chianciano Terme, Montepulciano, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia and lastly to Montalcino.
Arriving from Florence on motorway A1, you need to come out at Firenze Certosa and get onto the Firenze – Siena 4 lanes motorway, come out at Siena Sud and follow the signs to Montalcino.
Arriving from Grosseto, you need to get onto the Grosseto – Siena motorway, come out at Civitella – Paganico and to follow the signs to Montain Amiata and then to Montalcino.
TO GET TO THE PIOMBAIA HOLIDAY FARM CENTRE :
From Montalcino, take the road which leads to Saint Antimo Abbey. The farm is 3 km away on the left.
