Situated below the walls of the ancient Etruscan town of – only 2 km away from the town centre - Il Sole del Sodo takes its name from the area in which it is hosted and by the warmth of the sun which illuminates it during the day, from dawn to sunset. Surrounded by olive groves and dominated by the peace which characterizes the valley before. Il Sole del Sodo consists of an ancient central farmhouse (photo) going back to the end of the nineteenth century with 6 double rooms, 4 of which have their own private bathroom and 2 share a common bathroom and in 6 delicious apartments skilfully made out by the old sheds.

The 6 rooms, finely furnished with a style which blends to perfection the classic country look to the modern antiques, make the guests feel like part of a particular and warm atmosphere that Claudia has manage to provide to Il Sole del Sodo, also thanks to the particular and peculiar lamps thought and created during the restoration of the house.

You will be able to stay in the ‘rooms of veils’ by the warm colours like orange, yellow and red, with light veils which hang from the baldachin bed.

There is also the ‘room of doves’ inspired by those who once “occupied” it, with a romantic bed over an intermediate floor and with a very beautiful fireplace made in stone.

The ‘room from the past’ with decorations on the walls which follow faithfully letters and objects of the sixties and seventies.

If you are a modern type we advise you to take refuge in the ‘room of Zen’, small and bright, enriched with precious details.

You will be able to choose the ‘room of the tree’, called like this because during the restoration it was found a painting featuring an olive tree; the room has also got a charming balcony.
